Notes from the Pool Manager |
- The pool calendar is on the Winding Vista web site and will be updated at least three times a week. Please check that for pool hours, swim team practices and meets, social events, and private parties.
- Pavillion reservations for parties are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis by contacting the Pool Manager. Please include the following in all party reservation requests; date and times, which pavilion, general age of the party guests (toddlers, teens, adults, etc.) and how many guests. If your party will require an extra lifeguard the pool manager will schedule one through SweetWater.
- The time allotted for parties includes 30 minutes for setup, but not for clean up, and be respectful of anybody who has scheduled a party after you by finishing on time and cleaning up after yourselves. Neither the lifeguards nor the concession stand workers are responsible for cleaning up after parties.
- There is no fee for a party, but each swimming non-member is required to pay the $3 guest fee. If there are guests who will not be swimming, they are not required to pay the guest fee.
- There is a limit of 20 swimming guests per party. The Winding Vista board has determined the pool will not be rented out for private parties.
- According to our contract with SweetWater, if you are going to have 15 or more swimming guests at your party it must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance due to the need to have an extra lifeguard on duty. You will be billed $18 an hour for this lifeguard with a minimum charge of $27. There is also a $7.50 scheduling fee. The total fee can be placed in the guest fee box along with any guest fees due at the time of the party. The Pool Manager will make sure SweetWater has a lifeguard on duty for your party.
- There will be one lane roped off for lap swimming at all times. Please be mindful of lap swimmers and stay out of their way.
- Please DO NOT bring glass items to the pool area. Although this seems like it should be common sense, members and guests continue to bring items made of glass on the pool deck. This causes an unnecessary risk to others, so please don't do it.
- With the exception of supervised swim team practice there is no swimming at any time a certified life guard is not on duty. Life guards will not be available after midnight.
- During "adult swim" times the pool will be closed to everyone under the age of 21 years old.
- If there is lightning or thunder the pool will be closed for 30 minutes and the pool deck is to be cleared of people. Everybody is to take shelter under the lower pavilion.
- A complete list of pool rules and regulations can be found on the Winding Vista web site.
