Gearing Up for Opening Day |
|
Happy spring everyone, and I hope that everyone is as excited about the upcoming pool season as I am. The Winding Vista Board has been busy this spring getting the facility ready for a great summer of fun, and I wanted to share some of the highlights:
- The Main and Tennis pavilions have been thoroughly cleaned and painted
- New lounge chairs have been purchased for the pool deck
- A new playground was installed in February
- A new pool heater was installed over the winter
- Courts 1&2 will be resurfaced during the month of May
- The social committee has put together aen exciting new set of activities for the summer to keep us all entertained (more to come)
Remember that the pool officially opens after school on May 21st, and it looks like we are shaping up to have a fantastic season.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns or suggestions for the board.
Take Care,
Matt Evans Vice President and Grounds Chairperson |

Key Notes from the Pool Manager |
|
As your families continue to enjoy the pool this summer, please keep the following in mind from our Pool Manager:
- Please DO NOT bring glass items to the pool area. Although this seems like it should be common sense, members and guests continue to bring items made of glass on the pool deck. This causes an unnecessary risk to others, so please don't do it.
- It has been noted that the bottom of the wading (kiddie) pool is discolored, but this is not because it is dirty. The pool as been acid washed twice this summer and the discoloration remained, so please know the pool is clean.
- Although insects with stingers continue to be a nuisance around the pool area, please be aware that Northwest Exterminating has a once-a-month spray program to deal with them, and Winding Vista is getting this twice a month this summer. While this treatment has significantly reduced the number of insects from years past, it has not (nor will it) remove them completely.
Please review these and other notes on the Pool Manager Notes page. |
